Small town charm, larger than life characters

I will not share, sell or rent the email you have given me with anyone. I will never spam you. There is an “unsubscribe” button at the end of all emails I send and clicking on it will remove your email from my mailing list. I do have cookies installed on my site, it’s to help me collect stats about visitors and I get super excited when I see people visiting from all over the world. Lastly, I do use affiliated links which means that I may get advertising fees by advertising and linking to some stores on line (basically, I can receive commissions on some purchases you make when you arrive at some vendors sites after clicking on a link on one of my sites). This doesn’t change anything for you since the price remains the same.

I am available through my contact page if you have any questions or concerns.

Is it True that a Picture is worth a Thousand Words?

September 25, 2017

I'm excited to share Missing Home, the second book in my new series, Stories of Love, Trust & Honor. Missing Home is a part of the Chandler County multi-author branded series and I'm enjoying the opportunity to write with a group of eight very talented authors. (Check out info on my fellow authors here.)

I loved the challenge of writing Missing Home for a number of reasons. I am a character driven author so my Chandler County 'peep's took me on a roller coaster ride like none other. In contrast to the excitement of riding the coaster, there were also times when I felt like I was stranded at the top of a Ferris wheel with a plot that dangled precariously--and with no evidence of forward movement at all. Fortunately, while sitting, my vision broadened and voila, Missing Home took on a life of it's own.

The happy dance that began with the writing of the words 'The End' continues as I begin to promote and share my book. So I've incorporated images i.e. a mini picture book to share my story line and characters with you. Enjoy!

What could be a better story-line than the age old battle between the good guys and the bad guys? (Or gals as you might discover when you meet some of my good friends in Chandlerville, Kentucky).

Soooo when Dr. Jared Johnson's federally founded research project collapses, he does, too. He tosses the official federal funding rejection letter in his office wastebasket and his plans to marry the love of his life out the window.

The last thing Jared wants to do is to return to Chandlerville, Kentucky. His grandmother, a lifelong resident of the small town, convinces him that all things indeed happen for a reason and perhaps this is the right time to reestablish his roots and start anew.

When he arrives, he's shocked to learn that the town has unanimously approved his pastoral appointment to the newly refurbished 100-year-old Baptist church. Despite his divinity training, Jared never intended to pastor a church—not when his specialty is psychological profiling.

As fate would have it, the evil spirits that begin to permeate the town and its good-hearted citizens shortly after his arrival challenge his technical skills, experience and community relationships.

To complicate matters, a local angel finds herself in the eye of the storm causing Jared to re-evaluate his past and question his future.

Hmmmm....I don't want to share too many images...some things are better left unsaid or unrevealed, in this case.

I'd love for you to pre-order Missing Home. Your copy will be delivered to your Kindle or other reading device on December 14th, just before Christmas and in time for you to join in the Chandler County Annual Birthday party festivities.
