Small town charm, larger than life characters

I will not share, sell or rent the email you have given me with anyone. I will never spam you. There is an “unsubscribe” button at the end of all emails I send and clicking on it will remove your email from my mailing list. I do have cookies installed on my site, it’s to help me collect stats about visitors and I get super excited when I see people visiting from all over the world. Lastly, I do use affiliated links which means that I may get advertising fees by advertising and linking to some stores on line (basically, I can receive commissions on some purchases you make when you arrive at some vendors sites after clicking on a link on one of my sites). This doesn’t change anything for you since the price remains the same.

I am available through my contact page if you have any questions or concerns.

It's Time to Vote!

July 18, 2019

When I last posted, I asked my loyal readers and book friends to help me name my newest character, this beautiful Pomeranian. I'm happy to share more than 100 people participated and shared not only their recommended names but their puppy stories as well. Thanks to everyone.

Before moving forward to Part Two of the 'Help me Find my Furever Name' contest, I'd like to share  a little of the history of the Pomeranian breed. NOTE: I personally do not own a Pomeranian. But I am devoting the same effort, energy and resources into the development and creation of my new puppy as I do in creating a new setting or character. As an author this kind of research is one of the things I like most about writing a new book.

Did you know that the Pomeranian...

  • Combines a tiny body (no more than seven pounds) and a commanding big-dog demeanor?

  • Has an abundant double coat, with its frill extending over the chest and shoulders, comes in almost two dozen colors, and various patterns and markings, but is most commonly seen in orange or red?

  • Is alert and intelligent, and easily trained?

  • Is active but can be exercised with indoor play and short walks, so they are content in both the city and suburbs?

  • Will master tricks and games with ease, though their favorite activity is providing laughs and companionship to their special human?

It sounds to me as though my new Pom will become one of my kindest characters. What do you think?
